2024 Budget Training Series
The 2024 Staff City Budget has been released and this is our opportunity to advocate and win bolder investments in our city. The budget is where the Mayor and City Council can set their priorities for the year. We can get involved and tell council to invest in housing, transit, as well as the social supports and alternative crisis response services that are proven to work. The City Budget is also where harmful choices can be made to cut TTC service and increase funding to a bloated police budget.
That’s why Progress Toronto is excited to offer 5 free trainings and events for our Budget Training Series helping you get involved in the 2024 City Budget Process! Mayor Chow will release her budget on February 1 based on the proposed staff budget, community consultations, and budget committee recommendations. City Council will then vote on the Mayor’s budget on February 14. We need to let the Mayor and Council know what we expect to see in the budget.
