Budget Training Series:

City Budget 101

See other Budget Training sessions offered here.

The City of Toronto’s Staff Proposed budget will be launched on January 13 and it’s our chance to take a look at what’s funded (and not funded) in the proposed budget.

The Mayor and City Council will use this budget as a base to make important decisions on funding for city services, public transit, police, and much more. What they choose to invest in impacts you, your neighbours, and Toronto’s future.

That's why we want to make it easier for all of us to understand where the money is going—so we can better advocate for the budget we need to see in our city.

On Wednesday, January 15, Councillor Alejandra Bravo’s Chief of Staff Wyndham Bettencourt-McCarthy will lead our City Budget 101 training. We are also excited to have Councillor Gord Perks join us to share his perspective as the Budget Committee Vice Chair. Join us to learn more about the budget, the process, and how you can have your say.
