Budget Training Series:
How to Speak with your Local Politician on the Budget
See other Budget Training sessions offered here.
Local politicians are making important decisions about how our city funds housing, transit, policing, and more during the budget process. As a resident, you can request a meeting with them and let them know what you and your community expects to see in the budget. During the budget process City Councilors are available to hear from constituents on what they want to see in the 2024 budget before they vote on February 14.
On Tuesday, January 30th come learn from Toronto Community Benefits Network’s Campaigns Director Kumsa Baker and community organizer Josel Angelica Gerardo. You'll find out how meeting with your local politician is impactful and how you can prepare for your meeting to make sure your voice is heard.
