How to Stop the Cuts to Education—Etobicoke Training:
See other How to Stop the Cuts to Education training sessions happening across the city
The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) is currently short $63.2 million because of Premier Ford’s refusal to fund education. This will lead to devastating cuts for students and schools; it means fewer teachers, support workers, caretakers, and fewer resources. You can learn more here.
Etobicoke has three conservative MPPs: Christine Hogarth, Kinga Surma, and Doug Ford. They need to hear from people in their ridings and feel local pressure. That’s why we are hosting a training session in Etobicoke.
You'll learn how to speak at a TDSB committee to oppose the cuts, how to contact your local MPP, how to have an impact on their decision-making, and more! Local pressure on your MPP is the greatest way to effect change.
Join us for a free training on Tuesday, May 16 at 6pm at the Eatonville Library Branch where you will learn how to take action and fight back against cuts to education.
