Holding Candidates Accountable
See other City Election training sessions offered by Progress Toronto here
With the municipal election underway, what role do you have in holding candidates accountable?
On Monday, September 19 at 12pm fair elections advocate Adam Chaleff, alongside Progress Toronto’s Organizing Director Saman Tabasinejad are leading our workshop Holding Candidates Accountable. Join this workshop to learn everything from how to ask candidates questions to get clear commitments, to how you can use your power as an elector to uphold fair election rules during and after the campaign period.
Called (less than affectionately) “a little prick” by Doug Ford, Adam Chaleff has volunteered countless hours pouring through campaign documents and acting as a City Councillor watchdog helping to uphold democratic fairness and accountability. He took on Toronto’s former mayor Rob Ford and more recently challenged now former City Councillor Jim Karygiannis’ campaign expenses leading to his removal from office as a City Councillor. Hear from Adam about how as an elector you can help ensure elections are more fair.
