Fall Training Series:
Phone Banking 101:
How to Make Calls for Housing and Shelter Supports
See other Fall training sessions offered here.
Toronto is facing a dire housing and shelter crisis—one that is leaving hundreds of people, including refugees, outside. We’re calling on the federal government to provide $103 million to help shelter newly-arrived refugees and to help transition them to permanent housing.
That’s why on Tuesday, September 27, Progress Toronto Organizers Donovan Hayden and Francis Tersigni are leading a training on how to make calls (also known as phone banking). The first half of this workshop will allow you to become familiar with our online phone bank tool and how to move people to action, and the second half of the workshop will give you a chance to put your new skills to practice and phone bank people across our city. We will debrief after you make some calls!
