The Future of Our City Series

The COVID-19 pandemic has worsened many of the issues Toronto has faced for decades and exposed them as public health risks. In response, Toronto City Council is now debating what rebuilding our city means.

We can’t let Toronto return to a status quo that is failing so many of us and whose burden is felt most acutely by people experiencing poverty, women, and Black, Indigenous, racialized, newcomer and LGBTQ2S+ communities, people with disabilities, and seniors - especially those who hold intersecting positions.

This is our opportunity to push City Council to build a more democratic, equitable, and just Toronto.

That’s why Progress Toronto is hosting The Future of Our City Series — putting forward proposals and community-led solutions for building back better.

We are rolling out online panels throughout June and July and they are all free to attend. The series and panels complement our advocacy work in these times.
