The Toronto Police Service’s actions have raised a lot of concerns and questions from the public lately. From officers lying at criminal trials to alarming reports and accounts of inappropriate behaviour by police officers, including the police chief, the public deserves answers.
Our city’s police force is one of Toronto’s most well-funded institutions, and for too long it has skirted accountability and transparency. This needs to change.
