Rick Smith
Rick Smith is a Founding Advisor of Progress Toronto. Rick is a long-time resident of east-end Toronto and is passionate about building a more prosperous, green and inclusive city. Over the past twenty years he has had a leadership role in many progressive organizations on efforts related to consumer protection, urban planning, green jobs creation, democratic reform and progressive taxation.
Rick was a long-time Director of the Greenbelt Foundation, is the co-author of two best-selling books on the health effects of pollution, and currently works as Executive Director of the Broadbent Institute. Most weekends he can be found walking on the Leslie Street Spit or in the Rouge Valley with his family and new dog.
