Stand Up for Our City: Day of Action to Stop Ford’s Cuts - June 8

It was almost one year ago that Doug Ford was elected Premier of Ontario and in his first year, he has been obsessed with dismantling our city. While many of us work to build an affordable and just city, Doug Ford is working hard to tear it all down.

Every step of the way Progress Toronto has been helping people fight back against these cuts. We’ve been very focused on areas of the city represented by Ford’s Conservative MPPs and helping people in those ridings voice their opposition.

And it’s been working. Just recently Ford took back his plans to cut public health, child care, and EMS in 2019.

And now, with Ford plummeting in the polls and announcing pauses to his own cuts - we need to double down our efforts.

Now, with Ford’s popularity at all time lows, people’s power to influence their local Conservative MPP and convince them to stop the cuts is greater than ever.

That’s why, on Saturday June 8, Progress Toronto is “celebrating” Ford’s election anniversary by bringing people together in 11 different parts of the city — all 11 conservative-held ridings — to knock on doors and help people take action to stop the cuts to our city.

We are knocking on doors from 11am to 2pm in eleven ridings. You will knock on doors with a team of people, receive training, and have fun! Pick the meeting location that works best for you from the list below:
