Training: How to Speak at a Government Committee

Training: How to Speak at a Government Committee

The cost of living is ever-increasing in Toronto. Thousands are living in precarity and are experiencing homelessness. Advocates, like Shelter and Housing Justice Network, have been calling for more supports for unhoused communities to help meet people’s needs.

To “speak at a committee” is also known as making a deputation. Deputations are an opportunity for you to tell government officials your opinions and experiences on issues they are considering.

On Monday, January 9 at 7pm Progress Toronto’s Organizing Director Saman Tabasinejad will be leading our How to Speak at a Government Committee training. Join to learn how to depute! Sign up here.
