Building Power With Your Story
See other Winter training sessions offered here
Progress Toronto is excited to partner with the Urban Alliance on Race Relations to offer this free, online workshop. The City of Toronto's 2023 Budget released on January 10 will be decided on February 14. On January 17 and 18 the City's Budget Committee will be hosting public consultations. This is one opportunity to share your story directly with decision-makers to let them know what you need to see in this year's City Budget.
Your personal story can be a very effective tool in reaching and moving people, including elected officials, to take action.
On Thursday, January 12 at 6pm Olivia Chow will lead a workshop on Building Power With Your Story. Join to learn the fundamentals of public narrative and practice telling your story to inspire others.
At this training you will learn from Olivia Chow:
why your story matters
how to tell it to move others to action
learn to transform your story into a powerful deputation for the 2023 City Budget
